Hi, I’m Tara 

Welcome to Lionheart Therapy!

Having been a therapist for over 20 years, I took a leap of faith after attending the Ashley Black Fascia class and opened my own studio.  My journey has been one of resilience and transformation. Having overcome significant trauma in my own life, I understand how our bodies hold onto mental, emotional and physical trauma.  My priority is creating a safe and nurturing environment for healing and relaxation as you embark on your own healing journey. With a fun and outgoing personality, I strive to make each session not only therapeutic but also enjoyable. Together, we can work towards restoring balance and wellness in your body.

Outside of work, I spend the majority of my time with my family.  Our two older kiddos are off living their best lives and the little one is still at home.  Growing up, I played volleyball, basketball, and softball, and to this day, I still enjoy playing softball.  Driving up to Tahoe for a midweek pizza, at White Caps is one of my absolute favorite things to do with the family.

What is Fascia and why does it matter?

Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around your muscles, bones, nerves, and organs, holding your body together. When it’s tight or restricted, it can cause pain, stiffness, and fatigue. At Lionheart Therapy, we use targeted techniques like fascia blasting and cupping to restore healthy movement, boost circulation, and help your body release years of built-up tension. The result?

QUESTIONS

  • Fascia therapy works with the body’s connective tissue, the network that holds everything together. Unlike traditional massage that focuses on muscles, fascia work helps release deep restrictions, improve mobility, and support nervous system regulation. Most clients say it feels like a reset from the inside out.

  • You’ll be welcomed into a calm, non-judgmental space where you can slow down and reconnect with your body. Every session begins with a short check-in so we can customize the approach to your needs that day - whether that’s deep release, gentle support, or nervous system calming.

  • You may feel intensity in areas where there’s restriction, but nothing should ever feel overwhelming. We work slowly, with intention, so your body feels safe enough to let go, not brace.

  • Both! You can book single sessions or choose a package for deeper, ongoing transformation. Most clients find the best results come from a rhythm of regular sessions. We can talk about what’s best for your body and lifestyle at our first appointment.

  • Sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes, depending on what your body needs and what you prefer. Longer sessions allow more time to address chronic tension patterns and create lasting shifts.

  • You can book online or reach out with any questions.

  • Cupping uses suction to lift tissue and draw stagnant blood and toxins to the surface. It increases circulation, relieves muscle tightness, and accelerates healing — especially when combined with massage.

  • It’s a carefully layered session combining the three most powerful bodywork tools: deep tissue massage, cupping, and fascia blasting. The synergy between these techniques delivers maximum results in less time.

  • Wear athletic-style clothing (shorts and a sports bra or tank) for full access to fascia lines while staying covered and comfortable. You’ll always be guided on what’s appropriate for your session.

  • Yes! While we don’t treat mental health conditions, many clients come for support with the physical symptoms of stress: tension, tightness, fatigue, sleep issues, and overwhelm. Fascia work calms the nervous system and can help your body feel grounded and resilient again.
